Job Description – STP/WTP Operator (Water Treatment)

Position: STP/WTP Operator

Location: Manapakkam, Chennai

Company: EGT Eco Green Tech Pvt. Ltd.

Salary: ₹16,000/- Take Home

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) / Water Treatment Plant (WTP) equipment.
• Ensure smooth functioning of pumps, blowers, valves, and other machinery.
• Conduct routine checks, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor water quality parameters (pH, TDS, turbidity, chlorine, etc.) and maintain records.
• Handle dosing of chemicals and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Maintain log sheets, reports, and daily operational records.
• Assist in emergency breakdown maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and statutory regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: 10th, 12th, ITI, Diploma, or Degree in relevant field.
• Experience: 1 – 3 years (Freshers can also apply).

Key Skills Required:

• Knowledge of STP/WTP operation & maintenance.
• Basic understanding of mechanical & electrical equipment.
• Ability to read meters, gauges, and interpret test results.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Safety-conscious and disciplined approach.
