Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and highly skilled Director of ADMS (Application Development & Modernization Services) with deep hands-on technical expertise in Java, Python, Cloud, and DevOps, combined with strong leadership capabilities to manage large-scale delivery teams. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise transformation initiatives, modernize complex application portfolios, drive solution strategy for RFPs, and partner with business stakeholders for end-to-end requirements gathering and solution definition. This role demands strong technical acumen, business consulting ability, and proven experience managing large teams (50+ members) across multi-shore environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. ADMS Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the Application Development & Modernization Services strategy, roadmap, and execution for enterprise customers.
- Own delivery excellence, technical governance, staffing strategy, and operational KPIs across multiple projects and programs.
- Drive modernization initiatives including re-platforming, refactoring, cloud adoption, legacy transformation, and API modernization.
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, automation frameworks, and DevOps maturity models across projects.
2. Technical Leadership (Java, Python, Cloud, DevOps)
- Provide hands-on architecture and advisory support for large-scale application ecosystems built on Java and Python.
- Define best practices around microservices, API design, data architecture, security, and distributed systems.
- Architect and guide solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)—compute, containers, serverless, DevOps pipelines, monitoring, and security.
- Drive DevOps automation practices, including CI/CD, IaC, observability, environment provisioning, and release management.
- Conduct architectural reviews, performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability assessments.
3. Business Engagement, RFPs & Pre-Sales Support
- Lead technical solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and bids in the ADMS domain.
- Build solution blueprints, cost models, estimation frameworks, and technical presentations for new opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, practice teams, and SMEs to define compelling modernization proposals.
- Participate in CXO-level discussions, product demonstrations, due diligence sessions, and client workshops.
4. Business Requirements Analysis & Consulting
- Engage with customer business stakeholders to gather, understand, and structure business requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical architecture, modernization roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Perform business analysis, gap assessment, dependency mapping, and risk analysis.
- Provide thought leadership on digital transformation, application rationalization, and future-state design.
5. Delivery Management & Large Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor large teams of 50+ engineers, architects, scrum teams, and DevOps practitioners.
- Ensure delivery excellence, adherence to SLAs, operational governance, and continuous improvement.
- Build high-performing teams through hiring, coaching, training, and talent development initiatives.
- Implement agile ceremonies, delivery governance models, and program management frameworks.
- Oversee multi-shore teams across US, India, and other global locations.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 10+ years hands-on experience with Java and Python, including architecture, design, and implementation.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)—migration, design patterns, modernization, and cloud-native architecture.
- Deep understanding of DevOps tools & practices—CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), and automation frameworks.
- Experience with API development, microservices, event-driven systems, integration patterns, and distributed architectures.
- Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching strategies, performance optimization, and security best practices.
Business & Consulting Skills
- Proven experience contributing to and leading RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture, and client presentations.
- Strong experience in business requirements gathering, BRD/FRD creation, process mapping, and stakeholder analysis.
- Ability to drive discussions with business and technology leaders to shape modernization strategies.
- Experience delivering transformation programs in complex enterprise environments.
Leadership Skills
- 5+ years in a director-level or senior leadership role managing teams of 50+ members.
- Strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to influence senior executives and drive organizational alignment.
- Excellent people management skills—team building, mentoring, performance management.

- Experience in client-facing roles in BFSI, Telecom, Retail, Manufacturing, or Healthcare sectors
