About the Role:
If AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) is second nature to you, especially in short-form video
creation, you will thrive in this role. You will be the driving force behind shaping Gynoveda's narrative, making audiences pause, stay engaged, and transition from watching content to taking action at the clinic. Your role is crucial in generating revenue through storytelling.
Your Mission:
As the Head of Content Development, your mission is to own the end-to-end content engine. From research-led, insight-driven ideas to camera-ready production, your job is to craft high-performing short-form content that thrives organically on Facebook, Instagram & YouTube and converts seamlessly into paid ads that drive phone leads & clinic footfalls.
What You'll Own:
As the Head of Content Development, you will have the unique opportunity to lead an in-house studio that produces testimonial-driven, expert-led and story-based short videos. This role puts you at the forefront of our content creation, with clarity, trust, and performance at the core.
Pre-Production:
- Research topics and debunk category myths to draw fact-based insights, transforming them into persuasive marketing narratives, including creative angles
- Create a content calendar featuring a diverse range of content pieces to break the content fatigue.
Production:
- Direct and coach non-actors: customers, clinic doctors, health experts, and founders
- Create authentic, documentary-style content: interviews, explainer videos, and story-driven reels.
- Ensure a strong "reason-to-believe" to appeal to the audience that yearns for "show me the proof".
Post-Production:
- Shape raw, candid footage into curiosity-driven stories using the AIDA framework.
- Use B-rolls, on-screen text, and music to heighten relevance and impact
- Craft thumb-stopping headlines, scroll-stopping 3-second hooks and storylines that raise the desire to act
- A/B test creative variants to identify winners
Performance:
- Collaborate tightly with the performance marketing team
- Study CTR, watch time, engagement, and lead quality
- Identify what's working — and evolve your editorial strategy accordingly
Team Management:
- Lead internal content team: - Creative Directors, Producers, Editors, Writers.
- Manage external vendors – VO artists, anchors, influencers, camera crews
- Use methodical workflows to ensure production quality, volume, and delivery timelines are consistently met
- Instil a performance-first mindset in the team while nurturing creativity and speed
Ideal Candidate Profile - (List of Must-Haves):
- 8 – 15 years of experience in video content production
- Proven track record of creating short-form content that has succeeded organically on YouTube, Meta, or Instagram
- Deep understanding of what drives organic engagement: hooks, storyline, CTA
- Strong ability to lead on-camera storytelling involving non-actors
- Experience in project management for fast-moving content calendars
Advantageous If You've Worked In:
- Digital-first media or news platforms specialising in short-form, high-attention video formats.
- Always-on news channels releasing research-backed news and running shows on health & wellness
- Creative agencies or production studios with documentary or explainer work
Note:
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of creative storytelling, business acumen, platform expertise, and team leadership.
