Welding trainer

Job Title: Welding trainer (TIG & MIG) (Skill Development)

Location: Tamil Nadu & Karnataka (All Districts)

Reporting To: Regional Head

Remuneration: CTC Rs. 2500 to 3500 per day (based on experience)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator Trainer with hands-on expertise in TIG and MIG welding to conduct short-duration (34 hour) training programs across Tamil Nadu & Karnataka. The trainer will be responsible for arranging machines, tools, and equipment, delivering training through practical demonstrations and PowerPoint presentations, maintaining participant attendance, collecting feedback forms, and creating video case studies of each session. Selected candidates must travel to the Jindal Stainless office in Haryana for certification and orientation before commencing training. This role plays a key part in up skilling welders to meet industry standards through effective, on-ground technical training..

Key Responsibilities of the Fabricator Trainer

1. Plan and Schedule Training Sessions

2. Ensure each session lasts 34 hours and meets training objectives.

3. Conduct Training on Welding Techniques

4. Deliver hands-on training focused on TIG and MIG welding techniques.

5. Use a combination of PowerPoint presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions.

6. Manage Training Equipment and Tools

7. Arrange and transport all necessary machines, tools, and equipment to training venues.

8. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition before and during sessions.

9. Ensure Participant Engagement and Attendance

10. Record participant attendance accurately for each session.

11. Facilitate an interactive learning environment to encourage active participation.

12. Collect and Analyze Feedback

13. Distribute and collect feedback forms from all participants after each session.

14. Compile and submit feedback data for continuous program improvement.

15. Produce Video Case Studies

16. Record training sessions or specific segments to create video case studies.

17. Ensure videos capture key moments for promotional and reporting purposes.

18. Travel Requirements

19. Travel extensively within Tamil Nadu to deliver training sessions.

20. Travel to Jindal Stainless office in Haryana for initial certification and orientation before starting the program.

21. Coordinate with Project Teams

22. Work closely with the organizing team for logistics, scheduling, and reporting.

23. Ensure smooth execution of each training session as per the program timeline.

Qualifications:

• Trainers Qualification & Experience for Fabricator Training Program
• Trainers Qualification and experience in the relevant sector (in years) Engineer/Diploma (Mechanical/ Material Engineering/ Metallurgy) with at least 3 - 4 years of relevant work experience as a trainer in areas such as welding, fabrication, sheet metal
• Works in SS industry/allied industry. OR Skill training in relevant domain/ ITI certified with minimum 10 years of experience.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication, counselling, and persuasion skills.
• Goal-driven and self-motivated with strong follow-up discipline.
• Basic understanding of JSL Application process
• Ability to multi task and manage multiple batches/students simultaneously.
