Job Description:

We are hiring a skilled and responsible OT Technician to join our surgical team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing the operation theatre, assisting during surgeries, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the OT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operation theatre with necessary equipment and sterile instruments.
  • Assist the surgical team during operations by handling instruments and supplies.
  • Ensure proper sterilization of surgical tools before and after procedures.
  • Monitor and manage OT equipment functionality and cleanliness.
  • Help position patients and ensure pre-operative preparations are complete.
  • Maintain detailed records of surgical procedures and equipment usage.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols strictly.

Requirements:

  • Gender: Both male and female
  • Qualification: Diploma in OT Technician / B.Sc in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred in OT setup
  • Sound knowledge of OT protocols, instruments, and sterilization techniques
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, clinical environment

Duties & Responsibilities:

1 Prepare and maintain operation theatre

2. Maintain equipment support in an acute care environment

3. Identify and move to maintain a sterile field

4. Follow infection control policies and procedures

5. Manage and maintain theatre equipment

6. Prepare patient for operative procedures

7. Provide intra-operative equipment and technical support

8. Assist anesthetists in handling emergencies outside of OT Room

9. Manage hazardous waste

10. Ensure availability of medical and diagnostic supplies

11. Work effectively with others

12. Manage work to meet requirements

13. Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working Environment

14. Follow radiation safety guidelines

15. Follow biomedical waste disposal protocols

16. Monitor and assure quality.
