As a Senior Manager at Global Payments, you will take ownership for the delivery of business critical products. We are looking for someone to manage a delivery team that can lead innovation, drive improvements, set technical direction, and consistently meet the needs of the business.

You will:

  • Manage technical talent acquisition, growth and retention

  • Work with product and key stakeholders to set desired product roadmaps

  • Drive critical improvements to stay ahead of the growing business needs

  • Evaluate new technologies and delivery practices

  • Drive accurate and efficient project estimates

  • Create project plans, identify dependencies and risks, and allocate resources

  • Develop capacity plans and skills assessments

  • Stay up to date on the latest security threats and secure application design and coding practices

  • Manage third party consultants

  • Lead the design, craftsmanship, availability, resilience, security and scalability of your solutions

  • Foster a culture to stay on top of technology trends and participate in technology communities

  • Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity

  • Lead and mentor a team of development, quality assurance, and support engineers

  • Simultaneously drive multiple large initiatives potentially across multiple scrum teams

  • Prepare and present technical presentations and project status

  • Provide required information for the annual budget

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years or more experience in software development management

  • 13 years or more experience in .NET and/or java software development 

  • Expert level proficiency in agile practices and project management

  • Real-time processing and high-volume service development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years' experience in software development management 

  • Experience developing and managing cloud solutions

  • Payments industry experience
