Bodyshop Advisor

A bodyshop advisor's responsibilities include:

• Customer service: Welcoming customers, communicating with them about repair needs, and ensuring their satisfaction
• Repair estimates: Preparing accurate cost estimates for repairs and body work
• Scheduling: Scheduling appointments and managing repair timelines
• Coordination: Coordinating with customers and technicians to facilitate repairs
• Record keeping: Keeping records of repair orders, invoices, and customer interactions
• Quality assurance: Evaluating the quality of repair jobs and returning vehicles to technicians for additional work if needed
• Insurance: Understanding insurance company estimates and checking them for accuracy
• Parts: Completing parts order sheets, investigating alternative sources for hard-to-locate parts, and checking parts when delivered

A bodyshop advisor should be able to work independently and manage their time and work flow.

A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field preferred.
