Job Summary:

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on expertise in API testing and security testing. This is a part-time remote position, requiring availability for 4–5 hours per day, ideally suited for professionals seeking flexibility while contributing to high-impact QA efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain test cases and automated test scripts.
  • Conduct comprehensive API testing to validate request/response formats, status codes, authentication, and error handling.
  • Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities, follow secure testing practices, and contribute to risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand features and ensure robust test coverage.
  • Document test results, log defects, and follow through on bug resolution.
  • Ensure testing is integrated into CI/CD pipelines and help maintain QA standards across projects.
  • Participate in regular stand-ups, team meetings, and provide QA updates.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or automation frameworks like RestAssured.
  • Experience with security testing practices and tools (e.g., OWASP Top 10, Burp Suite, ZAP, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC), defect life cycle, and QA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit is a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.

Work Schedule:

  • Availability: 4–5 hours per day (Monday to Friday)
  • Flexible timing with some overlap during core team hours preferred.
  • Remote work setup with periodic virtual meetings.
