Position: - Solaris & MS SQL Administrator L3

Location: - Noida

Experience: - 6+ Years

Qualification: - Any Technical

Level: - L3 (Can handle large datacenter setup)

Notice Period: - Early joiners preferred

Role & responsibilities :

  • OS and Server installation / Re-Installation.
  • Installations/Re-installation & Configuration of OS as per requirement.
  • Patch Management (Update / Preview / Rollback) at hardware & OS & DB level.
  • Timely Implementation & Closure of Audit/VAPT recommendations on OS/Hardware/Middleware/Servers:
  • VAPT Closures, OS hardening, OS Patching, Upgrade at OS

level/version, Firmware level& Hardware level, OS Troubleshooting

  • Hardening of Servers, Carrying Server Configurations, Patching of

Server so that itcomplies with Bank's security policy & Audit observations.

  • Extra VM/LPAR/LDOM/VSAN-Node Creation and/or Deletion.
  • Cluster Deployment and Formation (2 or 3 node, Active/Passive).
  • Upgrade/Downgrade of OS and firmware for in place upgrades from Lower

to Higher StableVersion (or vice versa) on servers and hardware.

  • Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Runtimes and

middlewares likeWeblogic etc.

  • Orderly startup and shutdown of Oracle/MY SQL SERVER listener

services, databases anddatabase servers.

  • Creation of Oracle SQL SERVER databases as and when required
  • MY-SQL Database installation, configuration, clusterization &

performance tuning andresponse monitoring.

  • MY-SQL Database performance tuning and response monitoring
  • Monitor & create MY-SQL Server Replication, functioning and related parameters
  • Managing / reconfiguring terminal services, cluster services, file servers
  • Cluster Administration/Installation/Re-installation
  • Server Installation, Reinstallation and configuration due to incident
  • Managing Disk space, Processor Utilization, Network Utilization related to server
  • Support during Software Installation
  • Linux messaging and security solutions
  • Volume Management, File System Management, Console Management
  • Logical Partitioning and Administration
  • Review of daily/weekly/monthly checklist
  • Repeat Incident / Alert Analysis
  • Necessary support for restoration, change management activities,

downtimes and duringDC-DR drills.

  • Preparation of MIR /RCA for Major Incidents
  • Vendor coordination
    • Incident / Request Fulfillment / Change management
  • Event log analysis at regular interval for maintaining the integrity of servers
  • Capacity planning related to hardware
  • Reinstallation / Reconfiguration support for existing instances if required.
  • Performing session level audits
  • Import, export, taking archives of databases
  • Various types of database backups and all applications
  • Database native backup operations like RMAN etc
  • Resolution of DB Crash / Rebuild due to Incident
  • Resolution of DB Instance Hung/Terminated unexpectedly
  • Installation and configuration of Database software and creation of

databases in variousenvironments

  • Ensure up-to-date DB security patches are applied and verified
  • Assisting in complete recovery and restoration of databases
  • Monitoring space, memory structures in Oracle/SQL SERVER and

performance of SGA,queries and taking preventive measures when

necessary
