Senior Instrument Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and validating various engineering deliverables related to Instrumentation and Automation systems for Oil & Gas projects. The role demands a strong understanding of engineering design principles, documentation standards, and familiarity with industry tools.

This is contractual role for 3 months, will be extended on basis of performance

Key Responsibilities:

Instrumentation Engineering:

  1. Preparation and review of Instrument Index (Excel)
  2. Preparation and review of I/O Lists for DCS, ESD, and F&G systems (Excel)
  3. Preparation and review of Datasheets for instruments and F&G devices, including instrument sizing calculations (Excel)
  4. Review of Cable Block Diagrams (DCS/ESD & F&G) using AutoCAD
  5. Preparation and review of Cable Schedules (DCS, ESD & F&G) (Excel)
  6. Preparation and review of Cable Routing Drawings (AutoCAD)
  7. Preparation and review of Instrument Hook-up and Installation Drawings (AutoCAD)
  8. Preparation and review of Instrument Loop and Wiring Drawings (AutoCAD)
  9. Preparation and review of Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and Vendor Document Reviews for field instruments (Word & Excel)
  10. Preparation and review of Material Take-Off (MTO) (Excel)

Automation Engineering:

  1. Preparation and review of DCS/ESD/F&G Configuration Drawings (AutoCAD)
  2. Preparation and review of System Specifications (Word)
  3. Preparation and review of MR and TBE for DCS/ESD/F&G systems (Word & Excel)
  4. Review of Vendor Documents for DCS/ESD/F&G systems (PDF & Excel)
  5. Preparation and review of MTO (Excel)

SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation):

  1. Review of Wiring and Loop Drawings
  2. Review of Datasheets and Engineering Sheets
  3. Review of I/O List Mapping
  4. Review of Instrument Hook-up Drawings
  5. Review of Instrument Sizing Calculations

3D Model (SP3D / AVEVA 3D):

  1. Review of 3D Modeling of instruments (remote instruments, JBs, LCPs such as wellhead control panels, cable trays, trenches, etc.)
  2. Review of F&G Device Modeling
  3. Review of Layout Extraction and MTO generation from 3D Model
