Role Description

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Visual Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping and maintaining the character licensing and merchandising brand's visual identity across a diverse range of touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, a deep understanding of branding, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into compelling visual assets.

Responsibilities:

Brand-Aligned Design Development

  • Create designs that reflect and reinforce the our IP characters and brand's visual language, tone, and positioning.
  • Ensure all creative outputs are aligned with brand strategy and storytelling.

Multi-Platform Asset Creation

  • Design visual assets for character licensing, product packaging designs, style guides for our clients, merchandise, events, café branding, packaging, digital creatives, and website interfaces.
  • Develop engaging visuals for both online and offline channels including social media, print, signage, and experiential marketing.

Brand Consistency & Guidelines

  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all mediums and departments.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring uniformity in typography, color, imagery, and layout.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, events, and product teams to deliver cohesive campaign visuals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas that enhance brand engagement.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Deliver high-quality work that meets both creative and commercial objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

:

  • Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design.
  • 3 - 4 years of professional experience in branding and visual design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator is essential).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing brand-aligned design across various mediums.
  • Excellent understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to adapt designs for different formats and audiences.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in character licensing or merchandise design.
  • Familiarity with web design principles and digital asset creation.
  • Passion for storytelling through design and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
