Role Description

The Member of Technical Staff - Backend Engineering role is a full-time position based on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This position involves designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems to support Fastah's APIs and other core services. Responsibilities include building scalable systems, writing efficient and maintainable code, managing data workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless API performance and functionality. The candidate will also contribute to code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for backend development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with backend development and programming in languages like Python, Go, or
  • Strong understanding of database management, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Knowledge of building and deploying RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns
  • Ability to debug complex systems and deploy performance optimizations
  • Proficiency in working with version control systems like Git
  • Strong analytical skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced development environment is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
