Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform.

Responsibilities:

Android App Development for Air Quality Monitoring:

* Design and develop high-quality Android applications tailored for Airveda's IoT air quality monitoring devices.

* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and UX/UI designers.

Optimized Code Development:

* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Kotlin or Java.

* Optimize application performance for real-time display of air quality metrics.

Integration with IoT Devices:

* Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate Android applications with Airveda's IoT air quality monitoring devices the IoT devices.

UI/UX Design Implementation:

* Work closely with designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces, providing a seamless experience for users monitoring air quality.

* Implement interactive visualizations to help users interpret air quality data effectively.

Testing and Quality Assurance for Air Quality Data:

* Conduct thorough testing of the Android application, emphasizing the accuracy and reliability of air quality data representation.

* Identify and resolve any issues related to data synchronization and display.

Code Reviews and Documentation:

* Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

* Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the Android app, including interactions with Airveda's air quality monitors.

Continuous Improvement for Air Quality Monitoring Solutions:

* Stay abreast of the latest Android development trends and technologies relevant to IoT and air quality monitoring.

* Propose and implement improvements to enhance the functionality and performance of the app.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

* Proven experience in Android app development with a focus on IoT or connected devices.

Technical Skills:

* Proficient in Java and/or Kotlin.

* Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

* Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

* Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

* Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

* Experience with IoT device integration and real-time data synchronization.

* Familiarity with air quality monitoring concepts and metrics is a plus.

* Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of real-time data representation.

* Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
