Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Analyst (automation) to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test strategies to ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality, and user-centric software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable automation frameworks, enable continuous testing through CI/CD pipelines, and leverage AI tools to optimize test coverage and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing using tools like
  Selenium
  and
  Playwright
  .
• Develop, maintain, and execute
  automated test scripts
  for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Plan and execute
  API testing
  , ensuring reliability and performance of services and integrations.
• Conduct
  database testing
  to validate data integrity, business rules, and backend logic using SQL or similar tools.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, scripts, and defects to ensure
  compliance
  and
  audit-readiness
  .
• Integrate test suites into
  CI/CD pipelines
  (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to enable
  continuous testing
  and
  rapid feedback
  .
• Leverage
  AI-powered testing tools
  and
  techniques
  (e.g., intelligent test case generation, self-healing scripts, anomaly detection) to increase test efficiency and reduce maintenance overhead.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to
  analyse requirements
  , identify test scenarios, and determine automation feasibility.
• Execute automated test cases,
  analyse failures
  , log defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a
  QA Automation Engineer
  ,
  SDET
  , or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of
  software testing principles
  ,
  QA methodologies
  , and
  test design techniques
  .
• Hands-on experience with
  Selenium
  and
  Playwright
  for UI test automation.
• Experience in
  API testing
  using tools/frameworks such as
  Postman
  ,
  Newman
  , or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of
  database testing
  , with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend validation.
• Experience with
  AI tools in testing
• such as test case generation, self-healing scripts, or predictive analytics -
  is highly desirable

• Familiarity with
  CI/CD tools
