Requirements

We are seeking a skilled SAP VIM Consultant to implement, configure, and support OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions integrated with SAP. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in AP automation, invoice workflows, OCR technologies (like ICC or Business Center), and a strong understanding of SAP FI/MM modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements for Accounts Payable automation using OpenText VIM.

  • Design and configure VIM process types, approval workflows, and exception handling scenarios.

  • Integrate VIM with SAP FI, MM, and Workflow (WF-BATCH).

  • Customize VIM business rules framework (BRF+ or classical) as per client-specific needs.

  • Implement and maintain OCR solutions (e.g., OpenText Intelligent Capture / Business Center / ICC).

  • Conduct unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Work with cross-functional SAP teams (FI/CO, MM, Basis, Security) to ensure smooth VIM operations.

  • Analyze and resolve VIM-related incidents, change requests, and enhancements.

  • Support and lead end-to-end VIM upgrades or new implementations.

  • Document functional specifications, test cases, user manuals, and training guides.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience with OpenText VIM 7.5+ (or latest versions)

  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI (AP) and MM (Logistics Invoice Verification)

  • Expertise in SAP Workflow, ArchiveLink, and Document Management Systems

  • Experience in configuring OCR tools such as OpenText Intelligent Capture (IC), ICC, or Business Center

  • Hands-on experience with VIM DP Dashboard, Reporting, and KPIs

  • Good understanding of Invoice processing life cycle and exception handling

  • Proficient in writing FS (Functional Specs) and coordinating with ABAP developers

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and VIM on S/4

  • Knowledge of e-invoicing, Tax Compliance, or Purchase Order matching

  • Experience integrating VIM with Ariba or non-SAP systems

  • Familiarity with IDoc processing and BAPIs related to invoice posting

  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, ServiceNow

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or equivalent

  • SAP or OpenText certifications are a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Client-facing experience is highly desirable
