SAP IBP Business Systems Analyst

Role Overview

The SAP IBP BSA serves as the critical link between business stakeholders and technical implementation teams, enhancing supply-chain operations through SAP Integrated Business Planning. Responsibilities span eliciting and documenting requirements, configuring solutions, delivering training, and supporting end-users.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and observations to understand business processes and desired outcomes.
• Translate business needs into technical-functional specifications ensuring alignment.
• SAP IBP Configuration & Design Support
• Assist or lead configuration of IBP modules (Demand, S&OP, Response & Supply, Inventory Optimization, Control Tower).
• Collaborate with IT teams on CPI-DS/Core Interface, test scenarios, and process integration.
• Testing & Quality Assurance
• Create and execute test plans (functional/integration/UAT).
• Identify issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Training, Documentation & Support
• Develop training materials and deliver enablement sessions for business users.
• Maintain functional designs, process maps, and troubleshooting logs.
• Stakeholder Communication
• Lead collaboration with business operations, IT, vendors, and clients.
• Present progress updates, process maps, and test results to leadership.
• Continuous Improvement
• Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements.
• Stay current on SAP IBP best practices and new features.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.
• SAP IBP certification preferred; APO or IBP modules certification attractive.
• 3–6 years in SAP IBP or SAP APO roles, including 1–2 full life-cycle implementations.
• Experience across IBP modules and integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA via CPI-DS.
• Strong domain knowledge in planning processes (Demand, S&OP, Supply, Inventory).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Functional IBP + APO experience, especially with Demand Driven Replenishment and Control Tower.
• Domain expertise in discrete manufacturing, consumer goods, F&B, retail, or high-tech industries.
• Prior experience in Global Delivery or CoE models.
