Description :

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II (Backend) with 2.5+ to 5 years of experience in building robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems. In this role, you will design and develop solutions that handle millions of transactions with high reliability, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

- System Design : Architect scalable backend services and APIs focusing on low latency, fault tolerance, and high throughput.

- Core Development : Build, test, and deploy backend features using Java and Spring Boot, maintaining high standards of code quality.

- Performance Optimisation : Analyse and resolve system bottlenecks, implementing algorithms and design patterns for optimal performance.

- Database Management : Design, query, and maintain relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra) databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.

- Integration : Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams for seamless integration and delivery.

- End-to-End Ownership : Take complete responsibility for modules from requirement analysis to production monitoring.

- Security and Compliance : Implement secure coding practices to protect systems and user data.

- Code Reviews : Conduct peer reviews to maintain technical excellence and share best practices.

- Mentorship : Support and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration.

Requirements :

- Experience : 2.5 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development.

- Programming : Strong proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring Boot.

- Databases : Solid understanding of SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL technologies (e. g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

- Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure for deployment and infrastructure.

- DevOps and Monitoring : Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

- System Design and Problem Solving : Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and asynchronous programming.

- Collaboration : Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, agile environment.

- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
