O.T. Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and responsible O.T. Technician to assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures. The candidate will ensure the operating room is prepared, sterile, and fully equipped while maintaining all safety and aseptic standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operation Theatre before each surgery by ensuring instruments, equipment, and materials are sterile and arranged properly.
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses during surgical procedures.
• Operate and maintain O.T. equipment (lights, suction, cautery, monitors, etc.).
• Handle and check surgical instruments before and after the procedure.
• Maintain strict aseptic and infection control protocols.
• Support in shifting patients before and after operations.
• Maintain stock and records of O.T. consumables, linen, and instruments.
• Assist in sterilization processes (autoclaving, packing, labeling).
• Coordinate with CSSD and other departments for smooth O.T. functioning.
• Ensure the O.T. is cleaned and ready for the next procedure.

Requirements

• Qualification: Diploma / B.Sc. in O.T. Technology or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years in a multispecialty hospital or surgical center.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and equipment handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Salary

• As per qualification and experience.
