Job Descritpion of VMWare Admin

8-10 Years Relevant Experience

We are looking for a highly skilled VMware Administrator with strong expertise in virtualization technologies and Windows Server environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing our virtual infrastructure while collaborating across teams to ensure system stability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of physical and virtual servers.
  • Administer and manage Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere environments (ESXi 7.0 and later).
  • Handle Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Develop and execute PowerShell scripts for automation and process optimization.
  • Troubleshoot ESXi issues related to storage, network, and performance.
  • Manage and configure High Availability (HA), DRS, vMotion, Distributed Switches, Storage Migration, Cross vCenter Migration, and Upgrades.
  • Work within ITIL processes, particularly incident, change, and service level management.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute scheduled activities.
  • Provide 24×7 operational support on a rotational basis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience in VMware vSphere Administration and ESXi troubleshooting.
  • Deep understanding of virtualization concepts and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of networking and storage concepts in virtual environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong decision-making and leadership abilities, capable of working independently.
  • High attention to detail with a results-driven approach.
  • Good communication and conflict management skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve.
