Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server and Azure database technologies to design, develop, and manage enterprise-grade database systems. The role involves performance optimization, cloud database solutions, production support, and technical leadership in a fast-paced, global IT environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL Database solutions
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning
  • Design and maintain data models for transactional and analytical systems
  • Collaborate with application developers, solution architects, and business teams
  • Implement database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Handle production support, database incidents, and escalation issues
  • Participate in on-call support as required
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions
  • Drive automation for database deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Mentor and guide junior database engineers and SQL developers
  • Evaluate and recommend new Azure and cloud-native database technologies

  • Experience handling high-availability, performance-critical database systems
  • Ability to lead initiatives, mentor team members, and work cross-functionally
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
