As part of our Bangalore engineering hub, you'll work on solving complex technical problems, shipping systems that serve millions, and shaping the foundation of products that redefine industries.

Why this role matters

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling core systems and products that power GSOBA. You'll be a key technical contributor, working alongside exceptional product managers, designers, and engineers to create experiences that delight users and drive real business impact.

This is an opportunity to own meaningful problems end-to-end and grow as a technical leader in a product-led company.

What You'll Do

  • Architect, design, and develop highly scalable, distributed systems and backend services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Own technical design and architecture decisions for complex product initiatives.
  • Write clean, reliable, and efficient code while setting engineering best practices.
  • Review code, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to raising the technical bar.
  • Drive system reliability, observability, and security as a core part of development.
  • Work in an agile environment with global team members across time zones.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more: Java, Go, Python, C++, Scala, or similar.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and modern architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, REST/gRPC, microservices).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, ownership mindset, and ability to ship fast.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Experience with ML infrastructure, personalization, trust & safety systems, or enterprise platforms.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or leadership in engineering communities.
  • Experience scaling products to millions of users.
