Housekeeping GSA

A hotel housekeeping Guest Service Associate (GSA) is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas, restocking supplies, and providing guest service to ensure a high level of cleanliness and satisfaction. Key duties include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, changing linens, and responding to guest requests, while also reporting maintenance issues and maintaining inventory on housekeeping carts. Core duties

• Guest room and public area cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms and common areas, including dusting surfaces, vacuuming, mopping floors, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Bed making and linen services: Change bed linens and make beds according to hotel standards. Process and manage guest laundry and ensure an adequate supply of fresh linens.
• Restocking supplies: Replenish guest rooms with amenities like toiletries, coffee, tea, and other supplies. Also, ensure housekeeping carts are stocked with necessary cleaning agents, linens, and guest supplies for the shift.
• Guest service: Promptly respond to guest requests and concerns, providing assistance and maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor.
• Turn-down service: Provide evening service to rooms to prepare them for the night, which can include turning down the beds and performing other tasks.

Other responsibilities

• Maintenance and reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department, such as broken fixtures, leaks, or damaged furniture.
• Safety and security: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines. Secure departmental keys and ensure guest and property safety.
• Lost and found: Collect any lost or found articles left in guest rooms or public areas and hand them over to the designated person.
• Inventory and stock management: Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor pantries or closets, which are used to store supplies for the housekeeping staff.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members and departments to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations
