We are looking for BLDC Motor Design Engineer who is responsible for the end-to-end electrical, electromagnetic, and thermal design and optimization of brushless DC motors, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop BLDC motors, optimizing parameters like torque, efficiency, and thermal behavior for various applications.
  • Create and validate designs using CAD, FEA, and other analysis tools for

    electromagnetic and mechanical structure.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and embedded engineering teams for holistic product development.
  • Support the prototyping process, including test setup, troubleshooting, and field testing, and document findings.
  • Drive cost-reduction strategies and propose design or component changes for improved manufacturability and performance.
  • Review and qualify designs as per regulatory and industry standards.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for motor failures and implement solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors (B.Tech) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • Experience (2-7+ years preferred) in hands-on motor design, validation, and testing for BLDC/rotary machines.
  • Strong grasp of electromagnetic and thermal principles, and experience in simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, JMAG, Motor-CAD).
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ProE, NX) and FEA analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with motor controllers, embedded systems, and industry standards for electric drives is a plus.

Additional Duties

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and techniques in motor technology.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the company's technical knowledge base.
  • Support manufacturing and production teams when troubleshooting or scaling up BLDC motor designs.
