The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
with 7–8 years of experience, specializing in the management and optimization of
on-premise Azure DevOps Server (formerly TFS)
environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in CI/CD pipeline automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), PowerShell scripting, and security compliance for enterprise-level deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Azure DevOps Server (On-Premise) Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain Azure DevOps Server (TFS) for version control, build automation, and release management.
  • Manage repositories, branching strategies, permissions, and policy enforcement.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and scalability.

2. CI/CD Pipeline Automation

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on-premise environments using Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML & Classic UI).
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Integrate pipelines with on-premise Git repositories, Artifactory, and third-party tools.
  • Manage release orchestration, approvals, and rollback strategies.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

  • Develop infrastructure automation scripts using PowerShell and Ansible.
  • Implement and manage self-hosted build agents, server configurations, and scaling procedures.

4. Security & Compliance

  • Enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and security best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch management, and audit reporting.

5. Monitoring & Performance Optimization

  • Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for DevOps infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve build and release efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and deployment issues.

6. Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with Development, QA, and IT Operations teams to streamline SDLC.
  • Provide technical mentorship and promote DevOps best practices across teams.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7–8 years of DevOps experience with a strong focus on Azure DevOps Server (TFS) on-premise.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation and automation within on-prem environments.
  • Proficient in PowerShell, YAML, and Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible or ARM templates for IaC.
  • Experience in managing on-prem Git repositories, artifact feeds, and package management.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Familiarity with container-based deployments on Windows, AIX, and Linux via DevOps.
  • Knowledge of self-hosted build agents, job scheduling, and parallel job execution.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, and DevOps security practices.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex build/deployment failures and optimize performance.
  • Microsoft certifications in Azure or DevOps.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., banking).
