Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Engineering with expertise in JavaScript, , and to lead our engineering team with experience of handling
Government projects
. As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving innovation, managing projects, and providing technical leadership to ensure the successful delivery of our products and services. Your role will involve overseeing the development team, fostering a collaborative work environment, and guiding the implementation of cutting-edge technologies to meet our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical direction and guidance to the engineering team in the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.

Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and industry trends for JavaScript, , and development.

Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within specified timelines and budgets.

Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities.

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Conduct performance evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and support career development of team members.

Technology Strategy:

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in JavaScript, , and ecosystems, and assess their potential applications to enhance our products and services.

Propose and drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve team productivity and product quality.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure the implementation of robust testing processes, code reviews, and automated testing practices to maintain software quality.

Monitor and analyze application performance metrics, identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure seamless product integration and alignment with business goals.

Codebase Management:

Maintain and enhance the existing codebase, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and modularity of the software architecture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a technical leader or manager in software development, preferably with hands-on experience in JavaScript, , and

12+ years of experience

In-depth knowledge of modern web development technologies, frameworks, and tools.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams.

Demonstrated experience in building and scaling high-performance engineering teams.

Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

A track record of delivering successful software projects on time and within budget.
