Role Overview
The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, supporting taxation processes, ensuring timely financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and overall tax compliance, along with hands-on experience using accounting software. Experience working on Zoho Finance Suite will be considered an added advantage. A tech-enthusiastic mindset is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Book keeping
- Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Manage daily bookkeeping including journal entries, receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely settlements.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Taxation & Compliance
- Manage GST workings, monthly returns, reconciliations, and vendor compliance tracking.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, challan payments, and quarterly returns.
- Support statutory audits, internal audits, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Assist in preparation of tax documents and coordinate with external auditors/consultants.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, expense analysis, and financial summaries.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting for management decision-making.
Process & System Support
- Work with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, or other ERP tools).
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping for all financial transactions.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, automation, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
Skills
Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and basic income tax laws.
Experience working on Zoho is a strong plus.
Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and financial management tools.
Tech-enthusiast with the ability to learn and adapt to new digital tools and systems.
Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines.
