● Maintains quality results by verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance, calibrating equipment, monitoring quality control measures and protocols.

● Perform & maintain records of QC procedures related to reagent, blood bags, kits and equipment.

● Ensure quality control of blood components produced.

● Ensure that all work is done according to the required standards

● Ensure the SOP is followed at all critical steps of process flow like donor screening, phlebotomy site cleaning, phlebotomy, temperature maintenance during blood transport, calibrated centrifuge and trained technical staff in component lab

● Ensure staff and departmental compliance with all regulatory, safety, and institution policies and procedures.

● Infrastructure management

● Perform & maintain records of QC procedures related to reagent, kits equipment's

● Understands blood bank methods, demonstrates knowledge of testing processes which includes donor screening, blood grouping, cross matching, TTI screening, antibody screening.

● Provide consultation and support to technical and clerical staff concerning specimen and requisition acceptability

● Provide consultation to supervisory and technical personnel on maintaining adequate inventory of all blood components

● Maintains donor/patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential

● Responsible for in house staff training

● Plans and Helps in Conduction of the refresher and regular training program of the staff in the blood bank

● Helps in evaluating the knowledge of the new staff and arrange for the training programs
