Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant specializing in GST, TDS, Finalization and other regulatory compliance to manage our financial transactions and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Indian taxation laws and experience in financial auditing, statutory compliance, and corporate accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GST Compliance:
  • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with GST laws and regulations.
  • Reconciliation of GSTR-2A with purchase register.
  • Handling GST audits and queries from the GST department.
  • TDS (Tax Deducted at Source):
  • Calculate and deduct TDS as per applicable laws.
  • Timely filing of quarterly TDS returns.
  • Issue of TDS certificates (Form 16A/16).
  • Resolve TDS-related discrepancies and handle notices from tax authorities.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping:
  • Maintain day-to-day accounting, ensuring accuracy in ledger and financial records.
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Handle general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost savings and improved financial performance.
  • Audit and Compliance:
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including filing returns and handling audits under GST, Income Tax, and TDS.
  • Other Financial Responsibilities:
  • Managing payroll accounting, including the calculation of statutory deductions.
  • Monitor and ensure proper handling of invoices and expense records.
  • Oversee banking and reconciliation processes.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/ICWA certification preferred).
  • Proven experience in accounting with a focus on GST and TDS.
  • Strong understanding of Indian tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial reporting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling audits.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: Competitive and based on experience.
