Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Program Manager/Associate (Gender) to support the design, coordination, and delivery of gender-focused programs for women artisans in our livelihood centres. The role involves program design and delivery, partnership engagement, and communication, with a strong lens on women empowerment and gender inclusion. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional in the development sector to take ownership of impactful programs, work closely with communities, and be a part of a purpose-led nonprofit driving systemic impact for women in rural, and marginalised communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop life skills, gender, and agency-building modules aligned to women artisans' context, integrating topics such as financial literacy, negotiation, digital skills, leadership, reproductive health, rights and so on
  • Plan, facilitate, and engage artisans in empowerment workshops at the centres, and train centre staff on integrating gender-transformational skills into daily activities
  • Build participatory learning methods like stories, activities, group discussions, suited for our artisans, and create toolkits and guides for sustained delivery. Coordinate with field teams and trainers for smooth program execution
  • Build a "transformational journey framework" mapping baseline → progression → empowerment milestones
  • Create measurable impact indicators and conduct regular field visits to track program impact. Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting by maintaining systematic documentation of activities, outcomes, and learnings
  • Build partnerships with local NGOs, SHGs, women's collectives, and govt schemes to strengthen interventions
  • Collaborate with external experts/facilitators where needed to introduce specialised sessions like legal rights, health, digital access
  • Develop and document case studies, impact stories, and field insights to strengthen knowledge building
  • Assist the comms team in creating program communication materials for impact storytelling
  • Integrate gender-sensitive approaches across all our interventions

Required Skills

  • Master's/Bachelor's in Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Sociology, or related fields
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the social sector, ideally in program delivery and facilitation (gender-focused roles preferred)
  • Strong understanding of gender equity, women empowerment, and livelihoods
  • Good understanding of gender empowerment frameworks and life skills curriculum
  • Comfort with both qualitative impact documentation and field-level engagement
  • Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English, and regional language skills such as Kannada and Tamil preferred
