Job Title: Supervisor Fabrication Production

Department: Production (Fabrication)

Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Purpose:

To supervise and coordinate daily fabrication production activities, ensuring timely completion of jobs with quality standards, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Supervision

  2. Plan, allocate and monitor fabrication work as per daily/weekly production schedules.

  3. Ensure timely availability of raw materials, tools, and consumables.

  4. Supervise fabrication activities such as cutting, welding, fitting, and assembly.

  5. Team Management

  6. Lead, guide, and monitor fabrication workers and welders.

  7. Assign tasks and ensure productivity targets are achieved.

  8. Conduct skill development and on-the-job training for workers.

  9. Quality Control

  10. Ensure fabrication work meets design specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

  11. Coordinate with the Quality department for inspections and approvals.

  12. Identify defects, take corrective actions, and prevent rework.

  13. Safety & Compliance

  14. Ensure all safety guidelines, PPE usage, and safe work practices are followed.

  15. Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety checks in the fabrication area.

  16. Process Improvement

  17. Monitor efficiency and suggest methods for cost reduction and productivity improvement.

  18. Maintain records of production output, manpower utilization, and downtime.

  19. Coordination & Reporting

  20. Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, and Maintenance departments for smooth workflow.

  21. Prepare and submit daily/weekly production reports to management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, welding, fitting, assembly).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Leadership and team-handling skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety standards in fabrication shops.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP preferred).
