Internship Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer

Abigh Art Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a
Mechanical Engineering Intern
to join our team in developing a
patented human-assistive blocklaying robotic system
. This is a unique chance to work at the intersection of
art, architecture, and robotics
, while gaining hands-on experience in real-world prototyping.

Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will:

  • Design, fabricate, and refine
    the full mechanical structure of the robotic system.
  • Work on the
    support frame, triaxial orthogonal motion system, guide & binding systems, automated cutting head, and block module carrier
    .
  • Ensure the system operates with
    precision, robustness, and safety
    as outlined in our patent.

**Relevant Modules

  • Support Structure: Aluminum extrusions, ball screws, timi
    ng belts.Cutti- ng System: Rota
    ry platform, positioning plate.Guide
  • System: Modu
    lar, adjustable guides for different block sizes.


Location
: IISc, Bengaluru


Duration
: 3–4 months (possibility of extension/full-time conversion)


Who We're Looking For

  • Strong fundamentals in
    mechanical design and fabrication
    .
  • Familiarity with
    CAD tools
    (SolidWorks/Fusion/Rhino).
  • Interest in
    robotics, automation, and prototyping
    .
  • Passionate, hands-on problem solver who thrives in a
    startup environment
    .
