Payments Business Unit – Performance and Insights Lead

What will you contribute?

Reporting to the VP of Operations & Governance for the Payments Business Unit, the role is responsible for coordinating and providing the consolidated performance dashboards & reporting with the accompanying business insights.

The reporting and insight you provide will play an important role in supporting the business in achieving the key objectives, managing across the key KPIs and in taking action to resolve out of line situations.

The role plays a key part collaborating with the leadership of the various pillars across the Payments business unit as well as with the Central Operations/Reporting team in providing the operational reporting within the CoE and with the Finance business partners for the financial reporting elements.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Working in collaboration with both the BU and COE, owns the management of data including trending and comparisons to historical and forecasted metrics
• Provision of dashboards through the leveraging of existing data points, supplemented with the ability to adjust, refine and improve as required
• Provision of reporting & analysis of key metrics to drive both quantitative and qualitative insight which measures performance and highlights 'out of line' situations which requires management action
• Ability to create strategic messaging through data and storytelling - creating the business story behind the numbers
• Identifies opportunities for automation across all areas of data management & reporting
• Collaborates across the Business Unit, wider BUs and the Centre of Excellence functions to support a high quality of standardized data processing and enablement of operational data accessibility, analysis and decision-making tools for the business
• Provides input into the documentation of key insights, solution recommendations, solution business cases, and action plan results.

Required Experience:

• B.A. or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience within a Business Operations reporting environment
• Experience in a global company a definite advantage
• 2+ years of financial institution and/or financial technology experience.
• 2+ years' experience working in the analytics field and have Power User/Expert level Excel (pivots, lookups, power query, macros) capabilities
• Experience with BI software such as Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, Looker or other data analysis programs
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, business skills, process improvement skills,
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Track record of performance excellence, meeting target and objectives
• Strong analytical skills with prior experience of reporting various Business and Operational KPIs and Metrics
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize based on the organization targets
• Ability to work independently
• Team player, quick learner
• Willingness & ability to travel as and when required
• Proficient with MS Office and ability to interrogate Company systems to formulate required data
