Job Title: Accountant- NJL - House of Jewellery

Location: Navranpura

Position Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: Minimum 5-10 years in accounting, with direct experience in the jewelry industry.

Salary: 30,000 to 45,000

We are a reputable and growing company in the jewelry sector, known for our craftsmanship, integrity, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant who understands the unique dynamics of the jewelry business. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Ornate Jewellery Software and a good understanding of back-office procedures in the jewellery industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update inventory records using Ornate software.

Handle day-to-day accounting activities including billing, invoicing, and reconciliation

  • Manage inventory accounting specific to jewelry items (e.g. gold, diamonds, gemstones)
  • Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams to track stock and costing
  • Ensure proper documentation of purchases, sales, and stock adjustments
  • Work closely with auditors, suppliers, and tax consultants
  • Maintain compliance with statutory laws and tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter/Final preferred)
  • Mandatory experience of 5-10 years in the jewelry industry (retail/wholesale/manufacturing)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and stock valuation in precious metals and stones
  • Proficient in accounting ornate software and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under pressure
