Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Shopify Frontend Developer with 6–12 months of experience to assist in building and customizing eCommerce storefronts using Shopify to join Born Techies Private Limited: Digital Commerce Agency, and a Shopify Partner. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of Shopify's templating system (Liquid), web development fundamentals, and a keen interest in improving their skills in eCommerce and frontend technologies.

Location: Ahmedabad & Work From Office Only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and customizing Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
  • Implement design mockups into responsive Shopify pages with guidance from senior developers.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to create user-friendly and visually appealing storefronts.
  • Update website content, banners, and navigation elements as needed.
  • Support the integration of third-party apps and APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and fix minor bugs and styling issues.
  • Stay up to date with basic Shopify and eCommerce development trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6–12 months of hands-on experience with Shopify theme development or coursework/personal projects using Shopify.
  • Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Introductory understanding of Shopify's Liquid templating language.
  • Familiarity with responsive web design and mobile-first development.
  • Experience working with version control (Git) is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, libraries, and Shopify-specific practices.
  • Good English communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus):

  • Exposure to Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for working with design files.
  • Experience with Shopify CLI or Theme Kit.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce UX/UI best practices.
