What you'll be doing

We are seeking a skilled Assurance Designer with expertise in the Telecommunications industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing assurance solutions, such as service monitoring, fault management, performance optimization, and automation, aligned with TM Forum (TMF) standards and a working knowledge of Open Digital Architecture (ODA). This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient telecom assurance solutions with a strong emphasis on automation.

The major roles & responsibilities include:

  •  Design telecom assurance solutions, including fault management, performance monitoring, service quality management, and automated workflows, ensuring alignment with TMF frameworks (e.g., eTOM, SID, TAM) and ODA principles.
  •  Create detailed design documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and technical specifications for assurance and automation systems.
  •  Collaborate with product managers, architects, and developers to translate assurance and automation-related business requirements into technical designs.
  •  Support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives by leveraging ODA components and microservices-based architectures for assurance and automation processes.
  •  Design automation solutions to enhance proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and operational efficiency using tools like Entuity, NetBrain, TSNA, AI/ML, SNOW or scripting.
  •  Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, scalability, and performance requirements, with a focus on service assurance and automation.
  •  Participate in solution reviews, providing insights on TMF, ODA, and automation best practices for assurance workflows.
  •  Stay updated on telecom industry trends, TMF standards, ODA advancements, and automation technologies to drive continuous improvement in assurance solutions.
  •  Added advantage if the candidate is familiar with the ISO standards relevant to the IT industry include ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management, ISO/IEC for IT service management, and ISO 9001 for quality management
Relevant

Design Expertise: Strong understanding of TOGAF, ODA principles, TMF Standards, System Integrations using REST API framework and End User Experience. Documenting Business and Technical Requirements and Designs in coordination with Stake Holders.

Linux Expertise: Strong understanding of Linux architecture, experience in managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Linux environments.

Networking: Fundamental knowledge of networking, including SSH, SNMP protocols, network troubleshooting, and log analysis.

OSS and NMS: Understanding of Operation Support Systems (OSS) and Network Management Systems (NMS).

IT Service Management: Knowledge of asset, incident, change, and problem management.

Automation and DevOps: Design Solution using automation like Ansible, Jenkins, Bash, Python, or Perl.

Monitoring: Knowledge about tools like Entuity, Dynatrace, Nagios, and ELK stack for monitoring and ensuring system reliability. Network Performance metrics like QoS, Latency and Jitter. IPSLA, NBAR, NetFlow

Containerization: Knowledge about containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

Communication: Strong experience in communicating complex details to technical and non-technical audiences.
