Site Supervisor

About the Role As a Site Supervisor in an interior designing firm, you'll oversee the day-to-day execution of interior fit-out works on site. You will ensure that the design intent is implemented correctly, quality standards are met, material/schedule issues are managed, and the project stays on track in terms of time, budget and safety. You will coordinate between designers, contractors, vendors, labour and clients.

• Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage all on-site interior works (finishing, carpentry, joinery, furniture, lighting, floor/ceiling, MEP finishing) in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and schedule.
• Monitor daily progress: labour attendance, subcontractor performance, materials received and used, and report status to Project Manager/Senior Designer.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications; issue instructions to subcontractors & workforce accordingly.
• Coordinate with vendors / suppliers / contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, fixtures, furniture and other site-inputs; maintain material inventory, store & issue system.
• Maintain quality standards: inspect workmanship, ensure finishes, levels & details conform to design; maintain check lists for quality.
• Ensure site safety & compliance: monitor hazards, enforce safety regulations, conduct site inspections. MYTAT 1
• Resource & labour planning: allocate tasks, schedule works (daily/weekly), anticipate and mitigate delays or issues.
• Documentation & reporting: maintain daily site reports, progress logs, measurement sheets, change orders, site diary, snag lists, as-built updates.
• Client & consultant coordination: attend site meetings with clients, designers, architects, consultants; address queries and incorporate feedback.
• Final handover: Ensure completion of punch lists, ensure the site is ready for handover in terms of quality, cleanliness and documentation.
• Required Qualifications / Skills Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
• Experience: Typically 2-5 years (or more depending on scale) of site supervision in interior fit-out or finishing projects.
• Good knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, mechanical‐electrical finishing work, joinery and carpentry.
• Ability to read & interpret interior drawings (AutoCAD, SketchUp etc.), understand dimensions, levels, details.
• Strong coordination and communication skills: able to liaise with designers, contractors, vendors and clients.
• Good planning and scheduling aptitude; able to deal with multiple tasks, time pressure and deadlines.
• Quality / safety consciousness: ability to enforce standards and ensure on-site safety.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office, spreadsheets; familiarity with project tracking or site‐reporting tools is a plus.
• Own transport (bike or 2-wheeler) may be required for site travel.

• Team player, but also able to operate independently on site.

• Work Conditions & Environment Mostly on-site visiting multiple sites as needed (depending on firm's portfolio).
• May require visits to vendor workshops/factories for sample checks.
• Working hours can vary: site demands may lead to early mornings, delayed exits or weekend visits.
• Need to wear proper PPE on site, adhere to safety protocols.
• The role is physically active: walking sites, checking finishes, engaging with labour and contractors.
• Salary & BenefitsSalary will depend on experience, city and project scale (for example some listings show ₹15,000-₹25,000/month for 1-2 yrs experience in interior site supervision).
