Assistant Manager- Quality

• In-Line & Final Inspections

• Oversee manual inspections to detect product defects

• Collaborate with operation team to address defects in real time and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

• Laboratory Testing and Analysis

• Manage internal lab tests on raw materials and finished diapers in coordination with online tester and lab tester.

• Ensure all test results are logged and reviewed for compliance with product specifications.

• Quality Audits & CAPA

• Lead both internal and external audits on finished products and production processes.

• Conduct root cause analyses (e.g., 7 QC tools, 8D, Fishbone) and execute corrective and preventive action plans for repetitive product defects.

• Supplier & Raw Material Oversight

• Verify Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and conduct quality assessments of raw materials & packaging materials.

• Inform purchase team and supplier regarding non-conforming product found during incoming checks.
• Maintain strict traceability of raw materials, packaging materials lot numbers, and date codes.

• Conduct supplier audits as per schedule aligning with purchase department.

• Compliance & Documentation Management

• Ensure adherence to relevant standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP and other industry norms for hygiene & safety).

• Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) including SOPs, inspection plans, and deviation logs.

• Track and maintain internal / external audits schedules, recertification, surveillance audits as per plan

• Data-Driven Performance Monitoring

• Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to monitor production metrics and defect trends.

• Compile, analyse, and report key quality KPIs (e.g., defect rates, audit outcomes, test results) to senior management.

• Maintain weekly, monthly trackers for key quality KPIs and share it with management team

• Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise quality technicians and operators, providing ongoing training on inspection protocols and lab practices.

• Reinforce quality standards and promote continuous improvement culture.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Production, Process, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and implement product enhancements.

• Trial Management

• Conduct RM trials as part of product improvement or cost cutting project in alignment with design and development team

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Quality, Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 46 years in manufacturing quality roles—experience in sanitary, hygiene products, or diaper industry is highly desirable.
• Proven knowledge of QMS, ISO, GMP, and SPC.
• Hands-on knowledge of diaper-specific quality testing (absorbent capacity, rewet, strength, visual defect detection).
