JOB DESCRIPTION:The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial health, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing project budgets. This role requires a proactive financial leader who can handle end-to-end accounting processes, donor reporting, and contribute to strategic financial planning. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management: Oversee daily financial operations and maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and project-related transactions.

Review and input into cash flow reports

Budgeting and Grant Management:Develop and monitor project budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Track grant utilization and prepare financial reports for donors and stakeholders. Compliance and Reporting:Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., GST, TDS, FCRA, 80G).

Coordinate external audits and ensure timely submission of financial reports. Team Collaboration:Work closely with project teams to provide financial insights and ensure funds are allocated efficiently. Support leadership with financial planning and risk assessment.

Create a healthy culture within the organization for continuous growth and improvement

Process Improvement:Implement best practices in financial management and continuously improve internal processes.Train and mentor staff in accounting practices as and when requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields2-4 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit or social impact sector

Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally Prime, and excel)Experience with donor reporting and grant management is a plus

Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks efficiently

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work on the field and as part of a team

Knowledge of relevant issues in Ek Saath's area of focus would be good to have
