Senior Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Senior Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, machines, or equipment to ensure smooth operation and reliability. The role performing advanced troubleshooting, and maintaining service quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in vehicles or machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per company schedules.
• Supervise and guide junior mechanics and helpers during repair and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate service records and job cards for all repair works.
• Identify faulty parts and recommend replacements or upgrades.
• Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager for spare parts requirements and job planning.
• Test vehicles/equipment after service to confirm problem resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the workshop area.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2-3years of hands-on experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics tools.
• Ability to lead a team and provide on-the-job training to junior staff.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Basic computer knowledge for service reporting (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10, ₹15,000.00 per month
