Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Architect with deep expertise in Chef and cloud architecture design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing scalable, secure AWS environments and strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or Bash. This role involves automating infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high availability and performance across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient AWS-based infrastructure solutions.

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ruby, Python, or Bash.

Configure and manage infrastructure as code using Chef.

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Code Pipeline.

Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline application deployment and operational processes.

Monitor infrastructure and application performance; respond to incidents and outages effectively.

Ensure security best practices and compliance requirements are met across AWS environments.

Provide technical leadership in architectural decisions and DevOps strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8-10 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Architecture.

Proven expertise in AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Cloud Formation, etc.).

Strong experience with Chef for configuration management and automation.

Proficient in Ruby, Python, and/or Bash scripting.

Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation).

Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools such as Cloud Watch, Datadog, or ELK Stack.

Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with other configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).

Knowledge of GitOps and modern DevOps toolchains.
