Job Overview

Resource Bazaar Technologies is looking for a
Senior Backend Software Engineer
with strong experience in
middleware development and enterprise SOAP integrations
.

This role involves working across
modern and legacy backend systems
, improving performance, reliability, and scalability of integration-heavy services. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams and contribute to high-quality backend architecture and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain
    scalable & TypeScript backend services
  • Develop and enhance
    REST APIs and middleware pipelines
    for system integrations
  • Integrate with
    SOAP/XML services
    , including WSDL handling and schema transformations
  • Refactor and modernize
    legacy middleware components
  • Translate business requirements into
    scalable backend architectures
  • Optimize services for
    performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Contribute to
    CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability
    (New Relic)
  • Collaborate with product, frontend, and backend teams
  • Participate in
    code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of backend engineering experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on

    development
  • Strong expertise in
    JavaScript (ES6+) & TypeScript
  • Experience with
    SOAP/XML, WSDLs, and enterprise integrations
  • Proficiency with
    Express / Fastify / Koa
  • Strong understanding of
    middleware patterns, async programming, REST APIs, and secure backend design
  • Experience with
    testing frameworks (Jest)
  • Hands-on experience with
    containers, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with
    enterprise retail or sales systems
  • Knowledge of
    message queues (Amazon SQS or similar)
  • Experience modernizing
    legacy backend systems
  • Application performance monitoring using
    New Relic
  • Strong documentation skills
