About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
Embedded Firmware Engineer

who will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware for connected IoT products. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in
embedded system design

,
RTOS-based firmware development

, and
IoT connectivity protocols

.

You will work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to bring innovative and reliable smart devices to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug
    embedded firmware
     for IoT devices using C/C++.
  • Work with
    RTOS environments
     (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, etc.) to implement multitasking and real-time control.
  • Interface with hardware peripherals such as
    I2C, SPI, UART, ADC, PWM, GPIO
    , and other communication protocols.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers for
    schematic reviews
    , component selection, and bring-up testing.
  • Integrate
    wireless communication stacks
     such as BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, or Zigbee (depending on product).
  • Implement and optimize
    bootloaders, OTA updates
    , and low-power management routines.
  • Use
    version control systems (Git)
     and follow structured
    firmware release processes
    .

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5–6 years of hands-on experience
     in embedded firmware development for IoT or consumer electronic products.
  • Strong knowledge of
    C/C++
    ,
    embedded system design
    , and
    RTOS concepts
    .
  • Experience with
    MCUs/MPUs
     (ARM Cortex-M series, ESP32, STM32, Nordic, TI, Microchip, or similar).
  • Proficiency in
    peripheral communication protocols
     (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, etc.).
  • Experience in
    firmware debugging tools
     (JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
  • Understanding of
    IoT communication protocols
     like MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, or Modbus.
  • Familiar with
    low-power design
    ,
    firmware optimization
    , and
    memory management
    .

Good-to-Have / Preferred Skills

  • Experience with
    Nordic, ESP32, STM32, or NXP microcontrollers
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Python
     or
    embedded scripting
     for test automation.
  • Knowledge of
    security in IoT devices
     (firmware encryption, secure boot).
  • Exposure to
    cloud platforms
     (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT).
