The Team
Our Financial Services Consulting team partners with banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and fintechs to navigate complex challenges in a fast-evolving industry. We deliver strategic, operational, and technological solutions that drive growth, enhance risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve customer experience. Combining deep industry knowledge with analytical expertise, we help clients transform their business models, optimize performance, and stay ahead of market trends. We are looking for a Senior Associate to join in the financial services team. Considering the pace of targeted growth, we are keen to find a person who is entrepreneurial, driven by a passion to drive significant growth, is comfortable with ambiguity, will roll up the sleeves and be hands on to get things done and can be independent requiring limited cover.
How you will contribute
- Execute projects focused on Performance Improvement for clients in the financial services sector
- Exhibit understanding and experience of working in one or more sub-sectors in the financial services sector (viz. banking, insurance, payments, WAM, capital markets, fintech)
- Displays strong understanding of financial statements of FS firms, and ability to calculate performance ratios based on underlying data (NIM, CIR, Liquidity, leverage ratios)
- Experience in PI projects for FS clients with focus on operational efficiency (cost transformation / customer transformation / process transformation (STP, Zero Ops), Operating model design, strategy refresh and/or business transformation, or revenue growth via set up of new capability. This would help - 1. Conduct analysis on key cost drivers, customer personas and needs vs. product offerings, and suggest meaningful ways of customer or cost optimization; 2. Understand customer journeys and processes to drive transformation; 3. Conduct analysis across market sizing, market evaluation, customer and competitor landscapes to identify trends, opportunities, and risks for the client; and 4. Design and implement strategies for growth, market entry and transformation
- Work closely with clients to grasp their business goals and customize solutions to align with their specific requirements
- Offer support to other team members throughout the project, from planning and execution to successful implementation
- Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating in a clear and actionable manner
- Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to achieve high satisfaction and retain their business
- Contribute to business development by spotting new opportunities and assisting in proposal creation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 3-6 years of experience working with clients in the Financial Services sector, with hands-on exposure to one or more sub-sectors such as Banking, Insurance, Payments, Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Capital Markets, or FinTech
- Proven track record of leading or supporting PI initiatives focused on cost transformation, customer experience transformation, process optimization (e.g., STP, Zero Ops), operating model redesign, or strategy refresh in FS organizations
- Experience delivering measurable outcomes in operational efficiency, revenue growth, or transformation strategy
- Experience conducting market sizing, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, and opportunity/risk assessment for FS clients
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; ability to work closely with clients to understand needs, define problems, and tailor solutions
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and fostering repeat business
