Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Salesforce lead to join our remote team. In this role, you will take technical ownership of our Salesforce platform and lead efforts to improve its performance, scalability, and maintainability.

As our business has grown, so has the complexity of our Salesforce implementation. This role will focus on carefully auditing the current system, identifying areas for improvement, and designing solutions that support long-term growth and efficiency. You will lead technical initiatives including architecture refinement, automation modernization (especially migrating legacy Workflow Rules and Process Builders to Flows), documentation, and QA and release processes.

This is a hands-on role where you will work independently, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and mentor our in-house Admins and Developers — helping shape the future of our Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, can analyze undocumented systems, and enjoys building scalable enterprise-grade solutions independently.

Key Responsibilities:

· Audit and Optimize the existing Salesforce architecture, data model, and automation landscape

· Refactor Apex classes, triggers, LWC, Aura, and Visualforce components for performance and maintainability

· Lead the migration from Process Builder and Workflow Rules to Flow-based automation

· Redesign inefficient legacy automations and implement modular, scalable solutions that improve system performance and reduce complexity

· Identify and clean up unnecessary components and reduce dependencies on managed packages

· Design and build integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs (e.g., Amazon Connect, AgentForce)

· Leverage Asynchronous Apex (Batch, Queueable, Future) to enhance processing speed & reduce memory strain

· Establish and support CI/CD practices and version control standards (Salesforce DX, Git, etc.)

· Define and support documentation, testing, and release processes across the Salesforce platform

· Collaborate with internal developers and admins to improve solution design, maintainability, and scalability

· Analyze undocumented or layered legacy systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for platform optimization

· Support long-term platform strategy & architecture improvements with a focus on scalability & best practice

Qualifications:

· 6–15 years of Salesforce development & architecture experience, including multiple full-cycle implementations

· Strong command of Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce, SOQL, JavaScript, and Salesforce APIs

· Expertise in asynchronous Apex (Batch, Queueable, Future), Flows, and scalable automation design

· Proven experience refactoring legacy systems and optimizing for governor/platform limits

· Strong experience building scalable solutions from the ground up in production environments

· Ability to reverse-engineer undocumented systems and work independently without handholding

· Experience integrating third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon Connect, AgentForce) using REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs

· Strong communication and mentorship skills in a remote, fast-paced team environment

· Prior experience leading technical Salesforce projects and collaborating across departments

Preferred Salesforce Certifications:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I (Required)
• Salesforce Platform Developer II (Preferred)
• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect (Highly Preferred)
• Salesforce JavaScript Developer I (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• OR equivalent relevant experience building and maintaining production-level Salesforce systems

Compensation:

This is a 1099 contractor position.

Hourly Rate: $15-18/hr

Note: This is a fully remote role. Candidates must have a stable internet connection and be comfortable working independently with minimal oversight.

Pay: ₹1, ₹1,584.00 per hour
