Tosca tester with 5 years of experience includes responsibilities like designing, executing, and maintaining automation scripts using Tosca; developing and enhancing automation frameworks; analyzing test results to identify defects; collaborating with teams to define test strategies; and potentially mentoring junior team members. Key skills required are deep expertise in Tosca, functional and automation testing, framework development, API testing, and understanding of agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Automation Scripting: Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.

Framework Development: Design, build, and enhance a robust test automation framework from scratch or with modifications to an existing one.

Test Case Design: Create reusable test modules and design test cases, including functional, regression, smoke, and data-driven tests.

Test Execution: Schedule and execute automated test runs, including ad-hoc executions.

Defect Management: Analyze test results, identify defects, and troubleshoot issues within the automation suite.

Reporting: Provide reports and dashboards on test metrics, performance, and coverage as requested by the business.

Collaboration: Work closely with development and business teams to understand requirements and define testing strategies.

Mentorship: Guide and mentor other team members in Tosca automation best practices.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Tosca Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca and its associated tools.

Automation Frameworks: Strong understanding of test automation framework models and best practices.

API Testing: Experience with API testing tools and technologies like Postman, Insomnia, or RestAssured.

Programming Knowledge: Experience with programming languages such as C# can be a plus.

CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and pipeline creation.

Agile Methodologies: Understanding and experience working in an Agile development environment.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Certifications: Tricentis Tosca certifications like AE2 (Automation Engineer Level 2) may be preferred or mandatory for some positions.
