Overview: The Java Developer plays a crucial role in our organization by developing high-quality software solutions, addressing customer needs, and enhancing our products. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications that are scalable, secure, and efficient.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable Java code
  • Collaborate with team members to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
  • Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
  • Develop and maintain databases and APIs
  • Ensure continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies
  • Optimize existing software and improve performance
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
  • Support and maintain existing software products, applications, and interfaces
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates
  • Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Package and support deployment of releases
  • Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current Java technologies
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role
  • Strong experience with Java, J2EE, JSP, EJB, Servlets, JDBC, Hibernate, and Spring
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with RESTful web services and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with Git, Maven, and Jenkins
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Keen to learn new technologies and stay up-to-date with industry trends
