Job Title: AEM Forms Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AEM Forms Architect to design, develop, and lead enterprise-scale digital forms and document management solutions using Adobe AEM Forms and LiveCycle technologies. The role involves defining architecture, guiding development teams, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance forms-based solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and define end-to-end architecture for AEM Forms solutions including Adaptive Forms, Fragments, and XDPs.
  • Lead the development of AEM Forms Adaptive Forms, reusable fragments, and complex form workflows.
  • Architect and implement AEM Forms OSGi workflows, custom OSGi services, and components.
  • Design and implement solutions using AEM Forms Document Services (PDF generation, assembling, flattening, digital signatures, and document security).
  • Lead Adobe LiveCycle modules including Forms, Process Management, Rights Management, and Digital Signatures.
  • Architect and integrate SOAP and REST-based web services for backend system integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership on Java/J2EE-based application development and object-oriented design.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and performance-optimized document and form solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, UI teams, backend teams, and DevOps for end-to-end delivery.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and enforce development best practices.
  • Support migration and modernization initiatives from Adobe LiveCycle (ES2/ES3/ES4) to AEM Forms.
  • Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and technical design discussions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing AEM Forms and LiveCycle applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
  • Extensive experience in Java/JEE application development.

  • Hands-on experience with AEM Forms:

  • Adaptive Forms

  • Form Fragments

  • XDP development

  • Strong experience with AEM Forms OSGi workflows.

  • Experience in building OSGi services and components.
  • Hands-on experience with AEM Forms Document Services.

  • Strong experience in Adobe LiveCycle modules:

  • LiveCycle Forms

  • Process Management
  • Rights Management
  • Document Security

  • Digital Signatures

  • Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services.

  • Strong front-end skills using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, jQuery, AJAX.
  • Experience working with RDBMS databases.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Good to Have

  • Experience in Adobe LiveCycle upgrades (ES2 / ES3 / ES4).
  • Experience in LiveCycle to AEM Forms migration projects.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in BFSI or regulated domains.
