Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura's businesses around the world. Powai' s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura's global operations and are an integral part of Nomura's global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura's global business.
Develop automation standards and deployment methodologies
Propose, design, and implement solutions to enhance handling of the network.
Develop automation to assist in network configuration changes.
Develop automation to assist in network troubleshooting.
Mentor fellow engineers on technical issues, standards and procedures
Assist in managing continuous improvement of network operational activities.
Assist in developing operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLO, and goals of the network team.
Skills & Experience Required:
Strong development skills & experience across multi-technology landscape.
Demonstrate strong understanding of turning requirements into viable solutions.
Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of networking components.
Background in Infrastructure as Code principals.
Knowledge Required:
- Exposure to building solutions using Ansible or similiar
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform
- Exposure to repositories such as GitLab or GitHub
- In-depth understanding of scripting languages such as Python.
- Exposure to container technology i.e. Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of operating system fundamentals including Networking, CPU and Memory
- Understanding of network technologies including ACI, EVPN, Load Balancer, Firewalls, Proxy
- Exposure to Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) principals
