The Senior Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting in day-to-day store operations, mentoring junior staff, and driving sales. This individual should be an enthusiastic team player with a passion for pets and a solid understanding of retail sales practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers and assisting with their pet care needs.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of JUSTDOGS products and services, including pet food, accessories, grooming services, and more.
  • Train, mentor, and support junior sales associates on customer interaction, product knowledge, and sales strategies.
  • Assist in managing inventory, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising to ensure store readiness.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets through upselling and cross-selling techniques.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed.
  • Support in organizing in-store events or promotions as needed.
  • Assist with cashiering, returns, and opening/closing duties when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a retail sales role, preferably in a lifestyle or pet-related industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for pets and basic understanding of pet products and care.
  • Proven leadership abilities or experience mentoring a team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills for billing and inventory management systems.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a pet store or veterinary clinic is a plus.
  • Certification or training in animal care is an added advantage.
  • Energetic, positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.
