Experience Summary

• 12+ years of total experience in reporting and BI solution delivery
• Minimum 5 years hands-on expertise in: Power BI reporting, Advanced DAX, APIs, Copilot integration, semantic model optimization, advanced analysis, and enterprise-wide dashboarding
• Strong SQL proficiency and deep familiarity with data quality principles and practices
• Microsoft Fabric experience is required
• Proven experience in Power BI security models including RLS, dataset management, data governance, and stakeholder collaboration

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver compelling, interactive Power BI dashboards that drive strategic insights across functions
• Lead semantic model design and optimization for scalable, performant reporting with curated metrics and calculated columns
• Apply advanced DAX for complex logic, layered analytics, and time-intelligence functions
• Integrate external and internal data sources using APIs, SQL, and Power Query; ensure data reliability and governance adherence
• Enable Power BI Copilot integration to improve report usability, automation, and insights generation
• Implement and manage Power BI security including RLS and workspace governance
• Champion enterprise BI adoption by fostering self-service enablement and high-value reporting practices
• Improve reporting pipelines with CI/CD automation (e.g., deployment workflows, version control, environment promotion)
• Collaborate with engineering, data architecture, and business teams to ensure reporting aligns with data platform strategy
• Support data governance programs including data quality management, cataloging, and lineage tracking (Microsoft Purview experience a plus)
• Proactively engage stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical artifacts, and deliver measurable value
• Qualifications
• Deep technical expertise in Power BI development, DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling, Copilot integration, and performance tuning
• Skilled in SQL development and optimization across data sources including SQL Server, Salesforce, and Oracle ERP
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its role in scalable BI and analytics solutions
• Experienced in implementing Power BI security, data governance protocols, and data quality controls
• Proven track record of stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams
• Proficiency in CI/CD for BI workflows and managing lifecycle of analytics solutions
• Growth-oriented with strong ownership, learning agility, and drive for continuous improvement
• Able to work independently while aligning with cross-functional objectives
• High integrity and professionalism, with the ability to pass comprehensive background verification
